A recent report from iPhone Dev Team site saying that there were over 950,000 installs on Cydia after the release of Absinthe, and the number keep increasing until now along with more iPhone 4s users who jailbreak their device.

Here is the report from blog post entitled "Welcome new A5 jailbreakers!"

Here’s a quick breakdown of how many A5 owners have jailbroken their devices since Friday morning. The numbers as of Monday afternoon are:

491,325 new iPhone 4S devices
308,967 new iPad 2 devices
152,940 previously jailbroken (at 4.x) iPad 2 devices

Total: 953,232 new A5 jailbreaks in a little over 3 days.

The reason these numbers can be so precise is that one of the housekeeping activities that happens when you launch Cydia is a query to @saurik’s server for the list of available SHSH blobs. (Even if you have none on file, the query is still made).

Here is a how to guide to jailbreak iPhone 4s and iPad 2 untethered for Linux OS with Absinthe 0.3. Being Linux users, you are not left behind, because the jailbreak tool is finally goes to you after the Linux version is made for public today.

Once you finished applying this tips you are able to download automatically purchases you bought from iBookstore, iTunes and App store instantly to your iOS devices.

Now press Settings > Store from your devic.
Now press Sign In -- skip this if you are already signed in to the iTunes Store.
Now enter your App Username, Apple ID and password.

Siri Successfully Installed On iPod Touch

Have you read a recent news that Siri interface was succesfully installed on iPod touch 4g? Not surprised? Okey but this time the installation occurred was purely accidental, I mean the guy, named Gordon who managed to bring Siri to his 4th generation of iPod did that without planning.

After he bought the device he then use his iPhone 4s iCloud backup to restore his newly-bought device, but you know what once the iCloud backup completed restoring his iPod touch, all of sudden he saw Siri appearance there.

He then played with it, took several tests -- but of course the result was poor performance. Since his iPod touch was unable to authenticate with APple's server. But he told that Siri dictation is working, however is very buggy on the device, and as the result his iPod crash often times during daily use.

Don't try this to your iPod touch, as Gordon told he then tried with another 4th generation of his and ended up bricking it, and gotten a 1015 error in iTunes.

Nevertheless he posted a Youtube video to share what he's got now.

Here is another iPhone 5 concept presented to us (previously we got iPhone SJ video) that was originally created by AppAdvice reader, Kris Groen.

The first thing you will react immediately once seeing this concept is "the screen is so big, and fat". Yes that was my reaction too, however people tend to have that size, but if that could hurt the overall design of the iPhone I prefer to have the original iPhone's screen size like the 4s or 4 for example.

He used to create Pwnage bundles for jailbreaker, and he is also the one who recently warns jailbreaker to upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 right away.

The reason of his warning after he discovered the latest iOS firmware, iOS 5.1 b3, is well-protected so almost nearly impossible to find vulnerabilities to be exploited let alone deploying Corona files to it. So there is no way for any jailbreak attempts, at least right now.

A good news just came for iPhone 4 who are currently upset because they need workaround to unclock for their 02.10.04 baseband using iOS 4.1 and 04.11.08 running on iOS 5, 5.0.1. Because there is no solution for the said problem yet.

But suddenly a light is coming to appease your weary, well the light came from an iPhone developer namely Sherif Hashim, who is recently telling to us he is working on to bring unlock for the said two basebands.

iMReload said that he will update the Ac1dSn0w for A4 untethered jailbreak after he got a confirmation that Pod2G agreed to share his iOS 5.0.1 untethered jb exploits to him and his team -- The Pwn Dev Team.

If this is your first time hearing Ac1dSn0w -- like I do -- Ac1dsn0w is actually not a new jailbreak tool, it has been with jailbreak community for awhile. When it was firstly launched under beta 1, the tool was complained with infringing copyrights because of blatant usage of Apple's code.

Then second development begun, the PWN team came out with beta 2 claiming they had fixed copyright issue usage and posed a convincing statement the beta 2 is stabler than its previous one.

Nothing special offered by the tool unless nearly similar ability like the rest of the existing jailbreak tool at that time, which was giving the jailbreak community a tethered jailbreak to A4 devices and older.

Here is the instructions you can follow to put your iPhone into DFU mode or enter DFU mode. Entering DFU mode for iPhone or other iDevice is a general requirement you can't avoid for iTunes to restore your firmware if recovery mode has failed to do so.
